Regulations & Requirements

What are the requirements for a visit to Moalboal?

Guests to Moalboal must pay the local government's requirement of an environmental user fee (EUF) of PHP 25 per person, which will be collected at a checkpoint on the way to the resort.

What are the exemptions for paying Moalboal's Environmental User's Fee (EUF)?

Exemptions include:

  • Local and foreign residents and registered voters of the Municipality of Moalboal
  • Senior citizens
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Those with confirmed island hopping/diving bookings

Valid ID may be required to claim exemptions.

Reservations & Cancellations

How do I reserve a room?

You can reserve a room through any of the following methods:

A PHP 2,000 deposit per room per night is required to confirm reservations.

Do I need to pay a reservation fee (deposit)?

Yes. Hale Manna requires that guests confirm their reservations by making a deposit of PHP 2,000 per room per night, which will be deducted from your final bill.

Pet owners must also pay a security deposit of P1,500.00 per pet per stay. See our Pet Policy for details.

Deposit must be paid within 72 hours of booking for reservations made 2 or more weeks in advance. For bookings made within 1 week of your stay with us, please deposit on the same day the booking is made.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Cancellation Policy

  • 72+ hours before check-in: Full refund or date transfer
  • Less than 72 hours: A cancellation fee per night per room will be charged

Management may grant case-by-case exemptions for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

What accommodations can I arrange for my driver?

We offer the following options for drivers:

  • Sleeping in vehicle: No charge
  • Outside hut: PHP 750/night (PHP 50 extra for towel)

Hut setup is at 6:00 PM, and drivers must vacate by 7:30 AM. Late checkout incurs a PHP 1,000-1,500 hut rental fee.

Why are beach and pool hours limited to 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily?

Beach and pool hours are limited for several important reasons:

  • Lifeguard availability: Our lifeguards are on duty during these hours only
  • Safety concerns: Night swimming is dangerous due to strong currents
  • Pool maintenance: We clean and apply treatment to the pool each evening

What is the policy on photography sessions?

Professional photography sessions (e.g., pre-nuptial shoots, modeling, content creation, etc.) are not allowed without written permission and approval from the owner/management.

If approved, standard day use or overnight rates will apply.

Please contact us in advance for photography inquiries.

Where in Hale Manna can I smoke?

All rooms and common grounds are strictly non-smoking.

If necessary, guests may smoke in the garden or parking area, away from other guests and common areas.

Can my group do karaoke during our stay?

Use of karaoke machines is not allowed on the property for health reasons and as courtesy to other guests in the resort.

Why did staff ask us to quiet down?

+

Hale Manna promotes rest and relaxation for all guests. We kindly ask everyone to help maintain a peaceful environment by:

  • Avoiding loud music or conversations in common areas
  • Keeping noise levels down, especially after 9:00 PM
  • Being mindful of neighboring rooms and other guests

Grounds & Amenities

Why does Hale Manna sometimes have a rocky shore and sometimes white-sand beach?

The sand at our beach is seasonal, dependent on monsoon winds and ocean currents.

Usually, the white sand returns to our shores during the Habagat season from July to December every year. During the Amihan season (December to June), the beach may appear more rocky.

Can I go diving at Hale Manna?

Hale Manna does not have an in-house diving facility. However, we can recommend trusted local dive establishments in Moalboal.

For self-equipped divers:

  • Subject to LGU protocols and regulations
  • Must be properly qualified/certified
  • No solo diving is allowed

What amenities are available to guests?

Room rates include complimentary access to:

Sea access
Kayaking
Snorkeling gear
Stand-up paddleboarding
Day hut use

Note: All sea activities are with the assistance of resort staff/lifeguards.

We also have a billiards table available, and guests may borrow books and board games from our collection.

Can I cook or bring food?

Cooking is not allowed in guest rooms. We do not allow outside cooking equipment.

However:

  • Grilling pan available: PHP 200/day rental for day use huts
  • Cooking service: If the resort kitchen is not busy, you may have meat or fish cooked for P250/kg
  • Outside food: Acceptable if consumed the same day
  • No overnight storage: Cooked food may not be stored inside rooms overnight
