Q: What are the requirements for a visit to Moalboal?
A: The Moalboal LGU requires all incoming guests to register before proceeding to their resorts. Get your travel pass at Moalboal Tourism Office beside the Municipal Hall, near the mercado/market.
You'll also have to show valid ID and pay an environmental user fee (EUF) of PHP 25/person. If you are coming from outside Cebu province, you may also be asked to present a medical certificate showing you’re in good health.

Q: What are the exemptions for paying Moalboal's Environmental User's Fee (EUF) at the tourism office?
A: Exemptions to the EUF include:
(1) local and foreign residents and registered voters of the Municipality of Moalboal,
(2) Senior Citizens,
(3) Persons with Disabilities or PWDs,
(4) Persons who have confirmed bookings for island hopping and diving activities

RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
Q: How do I reserve a room?
A: You may go to our Rooms & Rates page to browse through our rooms. Please use the online booking facility for quicker reservation of the rooms, but if you encounter any issues, you can also call us, message us on Facebook, or email [email protected].
Once we've finalized your reservation info, we will send you deposit details for the required payment of PHP 2,000 per room to hold your reservation.
Q: Do I need to pay a reservation fee (deposit)?
A: Yes. Hale Manna requires that guests confirm their reservations by making a deposit of PHP 2,000 per room, which will be deducted from their final bill. Guests bringing pets will also need to pay a security deposit of PHP 3,000/pet per stay, which must be paid before or upon arrival. The deposit will be returned (or deducted from your final bill) upon check out after our staff have confirmed that your pet has not caused any damage to the room or other areas of the resort, and they did not have to do any extra cleaning due to the presence of your pet. Damages may include, but are not limited to, extra cleaning that may be required, stained or ripped linens or rugs, scratches on the floor or furniture, and loss of income from the room being unavailable due to repairs or cleaning. Guests may pay the reservation fee by depositing or transferring funds through Hale Manna’s official bank accounts or GCash account. Arrangements can also be made for online payment. The balance may be settled beforehand or onsite via cash, GCash payment, bank transfer, credit/debit cards via terminal, or online payment via PayMongo or HitPay.
The deposit or reservation fee must be paid within 72 hours of booking for reservations with check-in dates at least 2 weeks in the future. Earlier deposit deadlines may be arranged for bookings with closer check-in dates. Extensions may be given on a case-to-case basis and must be discussed with Management. Otherwise, reservations whose deposit deadlines have lapsed may be subject to automatic cancellation.
Q: What if I need to cancel my reservation?
A: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) before the check-in time and date indicated on the reservation for full refund or transfer to a new schedule of the deposit or reservation fee.
A cancellation fee per night per room would be charged for cancelled bookings made less than 3 days before the check-in date. Exemptions may be discussed with Management but are made on a case-to-case basis.
Q: What accommodations can I arrange for my driver?
A: If your driver will be sleeping in your vehicle, we do not charge any fees for them. But if you would like to have an outside hut set up for overnight accommodations for your driver, the fee is P750/night/person (without towel; to add towel rental, fee is P50/towel).
Hut will be set up for driver use in the evening at around 6PM (after day use has ended) and must be vacated by 7:30AM for cleaning since these huts are reserved for day use visitors and must be available by 8AM. Late check out will result in day use hut rental fees of P1000 to P1500 for hut.
Breakfast is not included, but you can opt to add breakfast for your driver with additional fees. If the driver will be making use of the sea and pool amenities during your visit, a day use fee of P450/day will apply.

Q: What time is check in / check out? Can I check in early or check out late?
A: Check in is at 2:00 PM. Check out is at 12:00 PM (noon).
If you wish to arrive earlier than the 2:00 PM checkin time and your room is not yet available, you may wait in one of our beachfront or poolside huts while already enjoying the amenities at no extra charge. Our staff can hold your luggage for safekeeping and let you know when your room(s) becomes available.
Check out time is 12:00 noon. A fee of PHP 500 / hour / room will be charged for late checkouts, and this will only be allowed if no guest is booked to check in after you.
Q: What are your health and safety guidelines?
A: Guests coming to Hale Manna are expected to be in good health. You are required to continue practicing the minimum public health safety standards—mask up, especially around other persons; regular washing/disinfection of hands; and social distancing.

Q: What payment methods do you accept at Hale Manna?
A: For your deposit / down payment, we accept bank deposit or transfer to our BPI, BDO, or Gcash account. You may also request an online payment link for the deposit or to prepay the full amount via credit or debit card.
For the balance to be paid at the resort, we accept cash, credit or debit card payments (via machine), bank transfers (BDO or BPI), or Gcash transfers.
We do accept check payments, but these must be dated on the day of payment (no post-dated checks). Should the check bounce upon deposit, you would be contacted to settle the payment by other means, and be responsible for any resultant penalties/charges by your bank.
Q: What measures have you taken to try to combat the spread of the coronavirus?
A: We have taken the following measures to ensure a safe stay: 70% solution rubbing alcohol available per room, hand washing stations, foot disinfection mats, face mask compliance of employees, distancing of tables and chairs. Hale Manna's spacious environs are also conducive to ensuring physical distancing. Immunocompromised persons and persons with risky health conditions have also been required to remain at home. Immunization of our employees has also being undertaken.
Q: Why are the beach and pool hours limited to 730AM to 5PM daily?
A: For the safety of our guests, we employ lifeguards who must be on duty when guests are using the pool and sea amenities. Night swimming in the area, especially offshore, is also less safe, especially given the strong currents in the area. Finally, due to pandemic protocols, we clean and apply treatment of the pool each evening, and guests are not allowed to use the pool for several hours this is done.
Q: What is the Hale Manna policy on photography sessions (prenuptial shoots, birthday or anniversary shoots, and more)?
A: Professional photography sessions (e.g. pre-nuptial shoots, modeling, etc.) is not allowed without written permission and approval from the owner/management. Please coordinate with us prior to any plans of doing such activity. Normal charges (day use fees or overnight rates) would apply for these activities.
Q: Where in Hale Manna can I have a smoke?
A: In compliance with the law, all our rooms and grounds are non-smoking areas. No smoking inside the house particularly in bedrooms, living room, and dining patio. If you absolutely must smoke, please be responsible to dispose of cigarette butts and distance yourself from other guests by doing so in the garden or parking area.
Q: Can my group and I do karaoke during our stay?
A: In compliance with the current regulations, use of karaoke machines are not allowed in the property for health reasons and as courtesy to other guests in the resort.
Q: Why did your staff tell us to quiet down or lower the volume on our music/speakers?
A: Hale Manna promotes rest and relaxation for its guests; thus we would like to ask all guests to keep our environment peaceful by not playing music or talking so loudly that it disturbs other guests or even neighboring properties. This is especially true past 9PM, when other guests may already be asleep.

Q: Why does Hale Manna sometimes have a rocky shore and sometimes a white-sand beach?
A: Because of our geography, sand on the shores of Hale Manna are seasonal and dependent on the monsoon winds. Usually, the white sand returns to our shores during the Habagat season from July to December every year. While guests can enjoy closer sea access during Amihan season, while the sand is on the other side of the peninsula. Hale Manna respects the cycles of nature, we have no control over the timing of sand on our shores.
Q: Can I go diving at Hale Manna?
A: We do not have an in-house diving facility, but may suggest Moalboal-based diving establishments upon request. If you are qualified, have your own equipment, and wish to go diving on your own, this is subject to LGU protocols. Guests who wish to dive off the property must ensure they do not dive alone and are solely responsible for their own equipment and safety.
Q: What are the amenities available to me as a guest of Hale Manna?
A: All room rates include free use of pool and sea amenities such as kayaking, snorkeling, standup paddle boarding, and trips to our floating hut above the coral garden and drop off. All sea activities are with the assistance of resort staff/lifeguards.
For health and safety reasons, we strongly encourage you to bring personal snorkeling gear (masks, snorkels, goggles) if you have it, but if not, we do soak our equipment in disinfectant as a precaution.
Guests may use any beachside or poolside huts not designated for day use or reserved for exclusive use by other guests.
Also onsite are a billiards table available for use by guests. You may also approach the reception counter to borrow books from our library or board games from our collection, which must be returned before you check out.
Q: I have booked a Family Room with Kitchen. What equipment or utensils are provided here?
A: All family rooms with kitchen are equipped with the following:
• stove
• refrigerator (medium)
• microwave
• rice cooker
• toaster
• purified water with dispenser
• electric water kettle
• pots and pans
• plates, glasses, and utensils
Q: If I book a room without a kitchen, can I bring food or cook during my stay?
A: You would not be able to cook without a kitchen, as we also do not allow bringing of outside cooking equipment to Hale Manna. We do offer grilling pan rental at P200 per grilling pan per day; you may bring your own charcoal (uling) or purchase from the restaurant at P120 per bag.
As for bringing of food, you may do this if it is consumed within the same day. We do not allow cooking of food and storing of cooked food inside the rooms overnight.
For snacks like chips, cookies, etc., we just ask that you keep these properly sealed to avoid pest issues. We also do not put restrictions on alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks you bring and may store in the room’s refrigerator. If your room does not come equipped with an electric water kettle, you may request one from Reception.
